4square is a subsidiary of 77 Projects LLC ("we," "us," or "our") and the Service is operated by 77 Projects LLC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the 4square website at 4sq.work and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

4square is a web application that helps individuals and small teams plan and prioritize weekly work on a shared impact/urgency matrix, with optional team collaboration, realtime sync, sharing, and paid multi-seat subscriptions.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of your account.
You may create an account using email verification or Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk.

3. Teams, Content, and Sharing

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service ("User Content"), including tasks, comments, and related materials.
You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, display, and transmit User Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service.
Content on a team board may be visible to other members of that team. If you create a share link, anyone with the link may view the shared board in read-only form.
You are responsible for User Content you submit and for ensuring you have the rights needed to submit it.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Individual use of core planning features may be available at no charge. Team features and multi-seat access may require a paid subscription after any applicable trial period.
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis according to the plan and seat quantity you select. Prices and plan details are shown at checkout and may change prospectively.
Unless otherwise stated, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can manage billing through the Stripe customer portal or by contacting support@4sq.work.
Failure to pay may result in suspension or loss of paid features.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malware or overloading infrastructure.
Scrape, reverse engineer, or copy the Service except as permitted by applicable law.
Upload content that infringes others' rights or that is abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by 77 Projects LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our names, logos, or trademarks except as needed to access the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services such as Google sign-in, Stripe, Liveblocks, and email delivery providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 77 PROJECTS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 77 Projects LLC and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
